Tim Croy has been the head coach of the Berea Diving Club since 1998.  He began his coaching career in 1989 at Midpark High School.  He has trained 64 divers to 115 Ohio High School Athletic Association state meets, including numerous finalists.  Tim coached the girls DI state champion and runner up in 2024. He has also coached many USA Diving national qualifiers as well as eight Amateur Athletic Union national finalists.  Tim has trained two NCAA Division III national finalists, including the national runner-up in 2012.  Many of his club divers have earned NCAA Division I scholarships.


He has also coached 15 divers to 28 high school All-American awards.  As the coach at Baldwin-Wallace University and Oberlin College, Tim has coached NCAA Division III divers to 14 collegiate All-American awards.  As the coach at BW, he had five divers earn nine straight Ohio Athletic Conference Diver of the year awards.  He has been named Ohio High School Northeast District Diving Coach of the Year four times.  Tim was also named the NCAA DIII National Women’s Coach of the Year in 2012.  He was awarded the Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity Award by the Ohio High School Athletic Association in 2016.


As a diver for the Berea Diving Club, Tim was a two time Age Group National Junior Olympian (1980, 1984).  At Berea High School, he was a three-time Ohio High School State Meet finalist and a three-time High School All-American.  He currently holds the school's one-meter diving record and was named the team's Outstanding Diver each year.  Tim was inducted into the Berea High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995.  At Ohio University, Tim set the one-meter record and was a multiple Mid-American Conference finalist.  He was named Outstanding Freshman of the Men's Swimming and Diving team in 1986, and was also an NCAA Division I regional qualifier.

Coaches
